Christine's Introduction letter

Education 422
Christine Roberts
Introduction

My name is Christine Roberts and I am a mother, student, and a widow. I grew up in several different places. My dad was in the United States Army for thirty years. My primary grades were spent in Bangkok, Thailand and then on to Hampton, Virginia were I attended eight through High School. I have one brother who is the oldest and three sisters. All of us where born in different parts of the world. Pretty neat! We then moved to San Marcos where my dad and step mother bought a home in 1977 on Woodland Parkway. Wow! Has San Marcos grown in the past thirty years.
My experience on the computer is limited to the last ten years and I own a PC. My children are always showing me how to do various things. It seems that my daughters know a lot more than me. I have no knowledge of Mac what so ever. I am very excited to learn more about Mac for my classroom. Most of my time on my PC is spent checking e-mails and school work other than that it is a limited time use. Although in the past month I joined a dating site. My husband pass away in July and I do miss that male companionship.
Six years ago I went back to Palomar College to become a teacher. My husband and I talk a lot about where I should do my undergraduate work. He did his at UCLA. Hands down for Cal State University of San Marcos it has been amazing journey. He was right. I just wish he could have seen me graduate. The mission statement was not a factor but it is so true that they are centered on student- education, diversity, and shared by all.
